During the last 3 weeks of April 2011, The Kimmel Center brings us Philadelphia International Festival for the Arts (or PIFA, for short) will welcome over 100 performances across dozens of artistic disciplines (including film, dance, theater – even circus arts) to venues across the city of Philadelphia.
During the last 2 weeks of April 2011, The Franklin Institue and partners will lead a Philadelphia-wide celebration of the sciences in the form of the inaugural Philadelphia Science Festival, knitting together dozens of science and educational institutions and providing an experience to explore science through lectures, debates, hands-on activities, and special exhibits.
During the last week of April 2011, Technically Philly presents Philly Tech Week, a backdrop for the Philadelphia technology community to continue the process of discovering the technology industry’s regional identity as businesses, organizations, and individuals interact with one another at educational events and social gatherings.
For those paying attention, that makes the last week in April of this year one of the largest and most diverse cross-industry festivals this city has ever seen.
