So yeah, the car share is pretty awesome. Last week I took out my first car (a Prius from 13th and Locust) to drive a friend back to NYC–it was incredible.

The whole car-share idea was amazing to me the first time I heard about it, but working in Bucks county I needed to have a car. Now with living and working in the city PCS just makes sense.

I’m still floored everytime I mention my PCS membership to people and they cannot believe that I don’t want to keep my car–the car-ownership mentality of some people in the city is astounding. Why would I waste all that time, energy, and money that goes into ownership when I can join PCS for free (I have the basic plan) and pretty much “pay as I go”?

I really like the idea with Independents Hall! Maybe I’ll see you around sometime soon and I can hear more about it.

I actually signed up for PhillyCarShare when I had my own car already.
